Abstract

A design of cylindrical type piezoelectric actuatorused in the flow control systems is proposed and analyzedin the paper. Traveling wave is generated on the top area ofthe actuator applying harmonic oscillations with differentphases. Electrodes of piezoceramic elements are excited byharmonic voltage with phase difference of π/3. Numericalmodeling based on finite element method was performedto find resonant frequencies and modal shapes of the actuatorand to calculate the trajectories of the upper pointsmovements under different excitation schemes. Results ofnumerical and experimental studies are discussed.
