Abstract

The article deals with the cylinder's core strength and are expressed its weight advantages compared to integral material cylinder. Numerical investigations are presented using cylinder with a core strength calculation of the finite element method.

In calculation is examined cylinder with a core tested by natural load conditions and obtained experimental data. Compared the numerical and experimental results showed good coincidence. In case of the same pressure results showed that the cellular cylinder mass is 1.42 times less than integral and it allows saving materials, to create lightweight structures.
