AbstractThe article delivers a model of decision support system aimed at the optimization of manufacturing costs using fused deposition modeling technology. First, it identifies parameters that influence the manufacturing costs; they are: material consumption, the structure of parts, and manufacturing parameters (layer thickness and positioning during the manufacturing). The article delivers the results that allow assessing the preciseness of decision support system created.
