Abstract

As a key factor for the safety of electric vehicles, electric vehicles are focused on battery pack stability rather than vehicle dynamics. The stability of battery pack depends on the performance of suspensions and battery supporting system. Automobile suspensions can reduce the bumps and vibrations that come from road unevenness. Its purposes are to prevent the shock and vibration from transferring to the body, and reduce the vibration of battery pack. Then simulation model was established to check the result to get the reasonable suspension stiffness by using Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the stiffness of the suspension is increased by configuring a high performance shock absorber and a short spring. Although it will inhibit roll, simply increasing the hardness of the shock absorber and the spring will cause a lot of negative effects.
