Quality of synthetic cast iron manufactured in plasma-induction furnace

Abstract

The work presents the results of research of syn-thetic cast iron production in an plasma-induction furnace. It was ascertained that the plasma-induction process pro-vides advantageous condition for manufacturing of syn-thetic grey cast iron of high grade and good mechanical properties.
