Abstract

In this paper, it was made a kinematic analysis of a driver link mechanism for multiple disks variator. The study is based on analysis of the distance between the central fixed disk packages and the mobile disk packages. The obtained analytical equations were implemented in MATLAB for visualizing the dependence between the input, the position of the prismatic joint of slider-crank mechanism and the out-put, which represents the distance between the disks and as result the overall transmission ratio.
For a linear input it was obtained an exponential output, and it was found out the exponential regression that fits the best the motion law of the output. Also, we search and found an input motion low to have a linear motion law that generates a linear behavior for the transmission ratio.
